You should not count on single backslashes. Here are your options:
cd c:/progra~1/worldcom/edeman~1/export
cd c:\\progra~1\\worldcom\\edeman~1\\export
cd {c:/program files/worldcom/ede manager/export}
cd {c:\\program files\\worldcom\\ede manager\\export}
